Digital Teaching Tools

Below you will find links to several Youtube channels and interactive websites that I have found particularly fun and interesting

1) SciShow: https://www.youtube.com/user/scishow

Run by Hank Green (of ‘Vlogborthers’ fame) , Scishow has a wide variety of videos available on an ever growing number of scientific topics. He speaks quite quickly but the videos are filled with animations: good resource to use if you are struggling to grasp a scientific concept

2) Stated Clearly: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_cznB5YZZmvAmeq7Y3EriQ

A truly fantastic Youtube channel which breaks down scientific topics into easy to understand chunks. Watch this video on DNA and see for yourself!

3) PHET Interactive simulations: https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/new

An excellent website filled with interactive simulations on Physics, Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry and Maths. Perfect for seeing theoretical knowledge in practice – and having fun while studying!

4) Microsoft Maths:  https://math.microsoft.com/
